The group manage to wrestle their way into the basement once more and imprison the evil Annabelle doll back in her blessed glass case, bringing an end to the villainy. But when another teenage girl joins the group, she stumbles upon the evils in the basement and unleashes hell on the house.

They managed to retrieve the glass case's key after they are attacked by demonic hands from the Feeley Meeley board game. After the doll's case is locked, the disturbances stop and the other spirits return to their slumber. The trio is also reunited with Bob, who has survived the hellhound's attacks. But what awaits them is a night of horror, as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who turn their attention to a new target--the Warrens' 10-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.

The girls then finally lock Annabelle in the case, and everything goes back to normal. Mary Ellen walks around the house with a flashlight and finds coins on the floor. She investigates and is stalked by The Ferryman, who terrifies her when he makes his skeletal appearance. The spirit attempts to pull her towards him, but Mary Ellen uses her flashlight to make him disappear. She then runs to Judy’s room, frantically calling out to her, but she is still sleeping. She looks under her sheets to find Annabelle, plus the spirit of Annabelle Higgins screaming at her.

At school, Judy notices a ghostly priest that begins following her. Mary Ellen's friend, Daniela, arrives uninvited to the Warrens' home, who is secretly curious about speaking to the dead. She sneaks into the artifacts room and starts examining every item, ultimately trying to contact her late father.
